While I am not a 'big' fan of autotunes ( I guess I prefer talent instead) I do have a situation that is going to need some help. It is in the form of my own 6 year old that can really hit most notes but lays a little flat on a few upper scales. I have promised (this Dad never breaks them) my Son to record him singing 6-8 of his favorite songs. Believe it or not, he does a very good job even at 6 yrs.
My question is, before I order the ATR-1A Auto Tune, does it need a midi input for the proper correction or will it simply recongnize his voice, or his pitch and correct it to a preset value? I am not quite understanding this thing. I do own a Voice Prizm Plus so I am used to using midi with it but would like to do a real time correction if possible.
Any users here that can shed some light on this new territory for me?
